The Challenge

To replace the existing 1 ton in weight boilers and replace them with more eco friendly Hamworthy modumax mk3 boilers in a 1st floor plant room. Whilst keeping David Lloyd gyms operational for their members.

The Solution

We de-commissioned the boilers by isolating the system and purging the gas supply over a night shift. In the mean time we are working in the back ground with a temporary boiler supplier for a delivery to site so we could link the heating system to the temporary boilers placed out in the yard. We then worked through the night to get these boilers up to temp so David Lloyd members could still have diffident pool temperatures, heating in the building and hot water when they re opened at 6am and then throughout our new boiler for out. Once all up and running we then arrange a crane lift company to come and lift our old 1 ton boilers out of the plant room through the louvers. Once complete we then lift our new boilers up into the plant room. We then can start the transformation of piping up the new boilers whilst the temporary’s run the gym. Once our new boiler system is fitted and pressure tested we then arrange another night shift change over from the temporary’s to the new system.
